Shortness of breath and chest pain after COVID-19?

Some people infected with COVID-19 may continue to have chest pain, shortness of breath and palpitations after recovery. However, these sequelae may also be symptoms of cardiovascular disease.

A 61-year-old man had experienced shortness of breath and chest pain for a month following initial recovery from COVID-19. He did an MRI myocardial viability assessment at our department and the images showed his myocardium reacted abnormally to gadolinium. He was diagnosed with myocarditis.
